Why the gut
It's where food becomes fuel, where much of the immune system stays busy, and where so much of a dog's everyday comfort begins.
The gut is a working ecosystem. A balanced microbiome supports normal digestive function, and it works closely with the immune cells that line the digestive tract. When that ecosystem is supported, the benefits tend to show up everywhere else: steadier digestion, everyday stomach comfort, healthier skin.
That is the premise behind everything we make. Support the gut well, and you are supporting the whole dog. So instead of chasing one symptom at a time, we built a formula around the system that influences so much of the rest.

ProbioticInside the formula
Most daily chews use a single probiotic. We use two: Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. Both are spore-forming, which means each is wrapped in a natural protective shell. That shell is why they stay stable in a chew at room temperature with no refrigeration, and why they are built to survive the acidic trip through the stomach and reach the gut intact, where they get to work. Two complementary strains give the blend more range than one acting alone, helping populate the gut with beneficial bacteria and supporting a balanced microbiome and a healthy immune response. One billion CFU per chew.

FiberInside the formula
Pumpkin works because it brings two kinds of fiber at once. Soluble fiber absorbs excess water in the gut and helps firm up loose, watery stools. Insoluble fiber adds gentle bulk that helps keep things moving and supports regularity. That combination is why pumpkin has been a long-trusted source for everyday digestive upsets, and why we chose a real, recognizable whole food over a synthetic fiber.
Plant SourceInside the formula
Flaxseed oil is our most familiar oil, and it earns its place as a plant source of ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), a plant omega-3, alongside lignans, plant compounds with antioxidant properties. It supports healthy skin and everyday vitality from the inside, and it gives the formula its omega foundation, the starting point the other two oils build on.
Plant SourceInside the formula
Ahiflower is the reason the three oils are not redundant. It is one of the richest plant sources of SDA (stearidonic acid), a plant omega-3 the body may use more readily than the ALA in flaxseed. It also provides GLA, an omega-6. We included it to help support a healthy immune response and healthy skin.
Marine SourceInside the formula
Krill completes the trio with the marine omega-3s EPA and DHA. What sets krill apart from fish oil is structure: its EPA and DHA come bound in phospholipid form, which the body may take up more readily. Krill is also a natural source of astaxanthin, an antioxidant that gives it its reddish color, and a genuine palatability driver: dogs love the taste, which helps the daily chew become a daily habit. Ours is sustainably harvested from the cold, pristine waters of the Southern Ocean.
